Candidates must be Australian Citizens or International students who have a valid Permanent Australian visa. Overseas Student subclass 500 visa holders are not eligible to apply.

All applicants are required to submit an online application.
The following information is required when applying:
A non-refundable $150 administration fee is payable to process Academic and General Excellence, OSA and Boarding scholarship applications. This fee is payable at the time of submitting your application.
Needs-based General Excellence bursaries and Indigenous Scholarships are excluded from paying this fee.
The number of scholarships/bursaries awarded varies from year to year and is at the discretion of the Principal.
We will notify all families of the outcome of their daughter’s application as soon as the process has been finalised.
Achievements in these areas are considered under the Academic and General Excellence scholarships.
Applicants will be invited to sit a series of tests in February 2025.
The testing will be conducted at St Hilda’s. Whilst the students are sitting the tests, parents will be invited to meet with the Principal and tour the Senior School campus with some members of our Leadership Team and Admissions Staff.
If your daughter is unable to sit the exam on the specified date, we are unfortunately unable to offer alternative arrangements. Under specific circumstances, a refund of the $150 application fee may be considered.
If you live more than 400km away from the school, we will ask that you provide the contact details of your daughter’s current school and will liaise with the designated staff member to arrange the remote testing.

Needs-based bursaries cover between 50% – 100% of the tuition fees.
Academic and General Excellence and Boarding scholarships will vary in value and will only cover part of the fees. Values are at the discretion of the Principal.
Scholarships and Bursaries are tenable for the duration of a girl’s education at St Hilda’s. They are subject to satisfactory academic performance, conduct and contribution to school life.
Your daughter’s enrolment status will not impact the decision to award her a scholarship. Scholarships may be awarded to girls who have already confirmed their place at the school for the future, and to those who have not applied. Some families wish to confirm their daughter’s position before the scholarship testing; others prefer to take a chance and wait, knowing that it could be too late to secure a place if their daughter doesn’t receive a scholarship. This is an individual choice that each family must make.

In 2020, St Hilda’s shifted its focus to providing students who may not have the means to attend but would flourish in our learning environment, the opportunity to experience a St Hilda’s education.
Awarded to girls from rural, regional and remote Western Australia, our Boarding scholarships aim to provide support to students in their pursuit of excellence.
Boarding Scholarships are awarded to a girl from rural, regional or remote Western Australia entering Year 7 who displays academic excellence and the ability to shine in an area of interest e.g. music, sport, dance/drama, community service.
The Boarding scholarship covers a reduction in boarding fees and is tenable for the duration of a girl’s education at St Hilda’s (subject to satisfactory academic performance and contribution to school life).
St Hilda’s is committed to providing educational scholarships to West Australian Indigenous girls starting their schooling in Year 7 for the remainder of their education at St Hilda’s. Where possible consideration may be given to entry into other years, but Year 7 is the preferred point of entry.
The scholarships are aimed at providing exceptional educational opportunities for Indigenous girls who have the potential to lead and inspire within the community.
Each Indigenous scholarship to St Hilda’s is provided in partnership with the West Australian organisation MADALAH. The scholarships along with Abstudy and parent contributions cover tuition and boarding fees from Year 7 through to Year 12.

Applicants will be chosen through a selection process that includes proven school engagement, academic progress, motivation for tertiary study, as well as eligibility for Abstudy.
Students must be regarded as Indigenous Australians and demonstrate a willingness and intent to embrace the opportunities associated with moving to St Hilda’s for their education. Students should have significant family support to enter a new school at Year 7 with the intention of continuing to Year 12.
Academic levels and achievements of a student are considered but are not the predominant criteria for selection. Selection is based on an excellent student attitude, motivation levels, sound literacy and numeracy, strong references from past teachers, good attendance, and an interview.
Students must have the full support of their family and/or community. This will require emotional support as well as some financial support. The level of financial contribution is reviewed on an individual and highly confidential basis, with the expectation that families/communities will contribute according to their capacity.
The Scholarship does not cover the provision of uniform, textbooks, IT equipment, pocket money or other voluntary School activities including optional excursions, camps and tours. Families are expected to participate in School programs and information sessions where possible.
MADALAH Limited is a not-for-profit organisation that offers secondary and tertiary education scholarships for Indigenous students, primarily from remote and regional communities, to WA’s leading boarding schools and Australian universities. MADALAH secondary scholarships provide support to students from year 7-12. These scholarships are administered by MADALAH on behalf of the National Indigenous Australians Agency (NIAA). One of the Old Scholars Association’s (OSA) most important contributions to the School is its scholarship program. Daughters, granddaughters and great-granddaughters of financial members of the OSA are eligible for the OSA’s scholarships.
The Old Scholars Association awards a scholarship to a student entering the School in Year 7, whose mother, grandmother or great-grandmother is a financial member of the Old Scholars Association. The OSA Entrance Scholarship is intended for a girl who can demonstrate academic ability and a strong capacity for involvement. The award of a Scholarship is tenable for Years 7 – 10, subject to satisfactory academic performance and contribution to school life.
The scholarship is a fixed financial amount per annum that approximates one term’s fees.
The OSA Ammonite Scholarship provides support in Years 11 and 12 to a daughter, granddaughter or great-granddaughter of a financial member of the Old Scholars Association. This scholarship is a fixed financial amount per annum that approximates one term’s fees per year. The winner is determined by a panel of three Financial Members of the OSA based on a written application followed by an interview. This scholarship is intended to recognise a girl who is an all-rounder, rather than selecting a winner based solely on academic achievement.
